Our Favourite Chuppahs

Our clients have been embracing unique chuppah designs over the last few years and this has become a huge focal point of our décor plans. The four post structure with a canopy covering features prominently in Jewish wedding celebrations, as an essential element of the ceremony.  The chuppah symbolizes the couple’s new home and the sacred space where they will join their lives together. The couple, (and often their parents) stand underneath the structure during their ceremony in front of their family and friends. From dramatic and moody to barely there, we wanted to share some favourites we’ve had the pleasure of designing over the last few wedding seasons.

  1. GOLD AND CLASSIC

Gold and Classic

This chuppah was truly timeless, featuring a gold structure with four clusters of white flowers including rose, hydrangea and orchid.  We focused florals on the upper right corners of all four posts and arranged seating in a full circle around the couple with candles at the base.

2. LUSH AND SUMMER INSPIRED

Lush and Summer Inspired

We covered this white chuppah in deep, rich summer greenery, anemone and touches of blue and blush flowers, winding it in and out of all posts.  Lining the aisle were solid white plinths and full summer inspired floral arrangements in white compote vessels in the sweetest backyard setting.

3. TIMELESS AND ELEGANT

Timeless and Elegant

Nothing says a timeless celebration than a soft white drape with matching backdrop and we LOVED the vibrant greenery crawling along the sides. This chuppah was soft and stunning in its simplicity!

4. MODERN & STRIKING

Modern and Striking

This ‘barely there’ modern acrylic chuppah featured a custom floral canopy covered with babies breath and roses. We added warm white uplighting to showcase the ceiling blooms and clusters of calla lilies along the base.

5. FLOATING AND DREAMY

Floating And Dreamy

This chuppah was created from suspending custom black grates on existing pillars and arranging flowers around the perimeter, and trailing down on each of the four corners.  It was the perfect mix of soft and romantic mixed with some sharp industrial touches to create this incredible result.

6. LUXURIOUS AND WARM

Luxurious and Warm

For this winter wedding, we created the most luxurious dark green velvet chuppah with our partners from Creating A Scene.  The structure was covered in the fabric with extra tall pillars of plentiful white blooms on each of the front corners.  Along with black chairs and moody up lighting, this will always be a favourite of ours!
