Ashley and Leo’s Colourful Museum Wedding
As a wedding planner, Ashley and Leo’s wedding is one of those celebrations you dream of planning, and lucky for us, our dream came true last summer! Together, we planned a celebration bold in style and bright in colour. Our palette of tangerine orange, sage green, lavender, and blush was present in every detail across the ceremony and reception at the Manitoba Museum.
We wanted to recap all the design moments from this wedding that helped create the ‘wow’ factor and show how you can incorporate colour AND enjoy an elegant, timeless celebration. Keep reading to learn more!
What Goes Into A Good Horah?
The horah is our favourite part of any Jewish wedding. The horah is a passionate Israeli dance where guests energetically dance around the couple to klezmer music and this is also the part of the wedding where you’ll see the couple lifted on chairs, tossed on a sheet or balance on a table.
It is an amazing challenge for any photographer or videographer to capture this moment. Will you get sweaty? Yes. Is there a chance you might rip your dress or suit? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely!
So, given how integral the horah is to any Jewish celebration, how do you make it happen? Here are some tips to getting everybody at your wedding involved in this lively and brilliant tradition.
Lauren & Seth’s Modern and Sophisticated Wedding
It is a new year and a new wedding season is fast approaching, but we wanted to take a moment to share images and details from a spectacular wedding we planned last spring. Lauren and Seth envisioned a sophisticated and contemporary wedding and in keeping with their vision, we helped create a celebration that was chic and streamlined, including white fluffy blooms, touches of soft blue and modern black and white details with lots of ambient lighting and acrylic accent pieces. Read all about their beautiful and modern wedding here.
