The Importance of Videography

Wedding videography has been increasing in popularity over the years, thanks in part to increasingly sophisticated cameras and editing tools, and promotion of wedding videos all over social media. Despite this growing popularity, many of our couples are reluctant at first to buy into the service, citing cost as the most prohibitive factor.

We are all for a captivating wedding video and there are numerous benefits. Video is powerful and truly the best way to preserve the memory of an event.  Your facial expressions and gestures, the lighting and the sound produce a final project that photography stills are unable to capture.  Here are some benefits of wedding videography:

·        A good wedding video tells a story. Who you are as a couple, what you did on your wedding day, where you were and why you got married!

·        Capturing movement and guest interaction will help relive the wedding day. How did you walk down the aisle? How did you start your first dance? How did the party unfold throughout the evening?

·        Highlights are shareable for family and friends near and far. Children in particular love learning about their parents once upon a time. They love seeing all their relatives and friends dancing and having fun. Couples all have their own personal histories, and we are lucky to have the means to record them.

·        Recording voice and hearing those vows during the ceremony and speeches, (these are often special add-ons in a videography package). Capturing SOUND, recording vows, speeches and personal love letters.

·        New perspective on your wedding day and capturing all the moments (both sides getting ready) and you get to see it ALL. Plus videographers have amazing cameras for aerial shots!

·        Creativity and fresh ideas such as interviews or testimonials, engagement videos or ways to make you feel more comfortable, including unique editing styles.

The ability to re-live your wedding day through video is so special. When you decide to work with a reputable videography, you won’t regret the decision. We hope video is something you consider as you plan your wedding day.
