2022 is here and so is the wedding boom. The Bridal Theory estimates over 2.5 million weddings will take place this year – the most amount of weddings since 1984! The pandemic isn’t over, but celebrations are back and we are so excited to see a record number of beautiful and unique wedding celebrations this year, all driven by a return to party-mode. In a recent post I discussed intimate weddings as my #1 predicted ‘trend’ in 2021 and I think this concept is sure to stick around for a while, beyond these COVID times. After a year of uncertainty, planning and re-planning, the word ‘micro wedding’ became a bit of a buzz word synonymous with ANY viable nuptial, but I wanted to use this blog to really break down this concept and re define these celebrations simply as ‘small’ weddings.
