Jenna and Justin were such a fun and sweet couple we had the pleasure to work with last year. They got married pool side on the roof of the Delta Hotel in downtown Winnipeg, followed by a gorgeous reception in the Delta ballroom. All these beautiful photos were taken by Picture and Poet

Together with the couple, we designed a classic and contemporary wedding with a palette of assorted dark and sage greens, blush, white and acrylic details. We focused this decor on highly photographed areas; the alter during the ceremony and the head table and dance floor at the reception. We included simple blush and sage floating candles to help accent a bit of colour throughout the ceremony and reception and it created a glowing ambience and romantic lighting.

The couple got ready in separate rooms at the Delta Hotel with their wedding party and family.

Jenna and Justin chose to have their first look at the beautiful St. Boniface Cathedral with their dog, Jagger.

During their first look, the couples shared some sentimental and private words with each other before taking the rest of their wedding party photos at the Cathedral. Following the photos, they headed inside for a cool down and enjoyed cocktails and snacks at SMITH Restaurant with their family and wedding party.

While the couple and their families relaxed at SMITH, our team was busy working away at the Delta setting up their gorgeous ceremony in front of the roof top pool. Guests sat on either side of the pool while the Gigman Duo (Gigman Music) serenaded guests with their cello and guitar. Jenna and Justin’s altar was decorated with stunning blush, white and greenery oversized floral arrangements care of Antonietta from (Meraki Fiori). The florals were placed on large acrylic pedestals with a central large ground floral piece behind them. We added some floating candles in the mix for a pop of colour to compliment the floral pieces and lined the poolside with greenery as well.

Guests enjoyed post ceremony cocktails and appetizers on the roof before making their way down from the pool to the reception in the ballroom. Together with the florist, our team helped ensure the reception was set and ceremony flowers re-purposed by the head table. The room was lush with flowers and ready for the party!

In the reception room, the focal point was the white dance floor with custom monogram from Spark Rentals. In front of the dance floor, we arranged the couple’s head table in a U-Shape with white criss-cross back drop, creeping greenery and warm white accent lights with florals all along the base of the table. We love how this turned out!

Jenna and Justin opted for a sweets table in place of a plated dessert, featuring delicious cookies, macarons and a petite cutting cake from Cassidy + Johannas Cakes served on beautiful vintage cake stands rented from Something Borrowed. Their wedding cake was simple yet classic, to compliment the rest of the wedding décor.

Jenna and Justin enjoyed their first dance before Jenna’s family and guests surprised the couple with a flash mob. For the rest of the night, the dance floor was packed!

Jenna and Justin were a dream to work with and we loved bringing their vision to life through lush florals, acrylic touches and ambient lighting and candles. Congratulations Jenna and Justin!
